Located on the borders of California and Mexico, Yuma has a prime location that makes it ideal for the distribution of goods to a population base of approximately 20 million people within a 500-mile radius. Yuma is situated on I-8, a major east/west artery, which connects to I-10 in Phoenix. Currently there are eight interstate carriers serving Yuma. Union Pacific transcontinental railroad service serves the state with reciprocal switching in Phoenix.

The Yuma International Airport is an integral part of the Greater Yuma area, serving the commercial sector daily as well as playing a major role in the air cargo industry. Ideally located near Interstate 8, a major railway, and  strategically placed in  Foreign Trade Zone # 219;  cargo and passengers alike move expeditiously throughout the region without the delays and cost constraints of other airports. Facilities include four runways, two (2) in excess of ten-thousand (10,000) feet, which are designed to handle fully loaded 747-400F series aircraft’s and air cargo shipments on a frequent schedule.
